The lobby at the Synfuels Plant quickly filled with shavees and individuals excited to see their friends and co-workers lose their locks during the St. Patrick's Day event. Each year, thousands of volunteers shave their heads in solidarity of children with cancer while requesting donations of support from friends and family.
The men, women and children who participated in the 2009 St. Baldrick's fun at Dakota Gas and other locations raised more than $100,000.
Numerous individuals also collected money to shave their heads. Several adults and children cut ten inches from their ponytails and donated them to Locks of Love.
