More than 115 Synfuels Plant employees are attending the 33rd Annual Energy Generation Conference at the Bismarck Civic Center this week.
The conference’s keynote speaker is Jack Bacon of Epoch Production. He will give a presentation Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 8 to 10 a.m. titled Nonlinear Thinking in Energy Generation and Transmission.
Breakout sessions are also scheduled throughout the three-day conference beginning Tuesday with a pre-conference session planned from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Professional development sessions are set for 1-4:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and include presentations on a variety of topics including electrical, engineering, environmental, mechanical, operations, personal/career development, safety and support services.
With about 200 exhibitor booths setup, conference attendees will have a variety of vendors to visit, as well as a casino night planned for Wednesday from 7:30-11 p.m.
Rod Wetsch and Mike Lewis represent Dakota Gasification Company on the executive committee and are responsible for helping plan the event. They join 27 other industry representatives.
