Students shadow Synfuels Plant employees

Students from Beulah, ND, learned about employees' work at the Great Plains Synfuels Plant.

Neil Schroetlin, what it takes to be a civil engineer.

Several Beulah, ND, students participated in the annual job shadowing days at the Great Plains Synfuels Plant Jan. 25-Feb. 2.

Students take a day to follow a parent or friend at their job to learn if it is a career path they wish to follow.

This year 13 students participated. Students from Hazen, ND, will spend Apr. 26 job shadowing Synfuels Plant employees.

Students spent time in process operations, maintenance, engineering and accounting while at the plant.
