Interior Secretary Salazar to visit the Great Plains Synfuels Plant near Beulah, ND, on Saturday, April 25.

Bismarck, ND – U.S. Senators Byron Dorgan, Kent Conrad, and Congressman Earl Pomeroy announced April 22 that United States Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar is visiting North Dakota this Saturday, April 25. Among his stops will be a visit to Beulah and the Great Plains Synfuels Plant, north of Beulah. He is being accompanied by Senators Dorgan and Conrad.
The group plans to arrive in Beulah early Saturday afternoon. Ron Harper, Basin Electric CEO and general manager, along with Gary Loop, Dakota Gasification Company chief operating officer, together with other Basin Electric and Dakota Gas staff, will host the group on a tour of the visitor's center, followed by a brief tour of the facility. The visit is scheduled to last an hour.
