Dakota Gas will have three fertilizer products by spring 2017. Dakota Gas currently produces anhydrous ammonia and ammonium sulfate (DakSul 45®), which are used as agricultural fertilizers. In the spring of 2017, Dakota Gas will add urea to its fertilizer product mix. These fertilizers are great sources of nitrogen, a macro nutrient that is crucial for plant development and growth. Dakota Gas’ production of multiple fertilizers contributes to growing bountiful crops worldwide, that in turn feed the ever growing population. Nitrogen fertilizers are an extremely essential part of agriculture, especially for increase yields.
Dakota Gas’ business model dictates that fertilizer sales are conducted through the wholesale market. This is a model that has worked well for Dakota Gas and adds to the company’s success.
