What made you want to be a recruiter?

The variety of responsibilities and the opportunity to be some of the first employees to welcome new hires. I like connecting to job seekers and sharing my enthusiasm for working at the cooperative.

What advice do you have for new employees in their first week at work?

Be involved with the various employee activities and connect with coworkers.

What is your favorite benefit of working at Basin Electric?

Do I have to pick one? Flexible work hours. If I get more choices: opportunity to grow, awesome coworkers, Family Night, Basin's Backyard Garden, community presence, etc.

Vickie Volk has worked in Human Resources, Office of the General Manager, and for Dakota Gasification Company, a Basin Electric subsidiary, in the Electrical and Instrumentation department.
