Liquid carbon dioxide by truck

Dakota Gasification Company's liquid carbon dioxide is separated from carbon dioxide during a condensation process in the liquefaction plant. The liquid carbon dioxide is 99.9% pure, as compared to the pipeline carbon dioxide, which is 95% pure.

Dakota Gas is currently selling liquid carbon dioxide for uses in the beverage and food processing industry, and for water treatment plants.

  • Dakota Gas produces up to 200 tons per day.
  • Used in the food and beverage processing industry.
  • Used in tertiary or enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques.
  • Used for fracking, a technique of pumping pressurized CO2 into wells to shatter the rock and push out more oil and gas.
